Michael Gerard Waurzyniak, age 53, of North Charleston S.C., passed away Sunday, June 10th 2007. He was born on September 7th, 1953 in Detroit Michigan to George and Delores (Ochylski) Waurzyniak. Michael retired with honors from the United States Navy. He served in the Persian Gulf War and the 100 Day War in Beirut. Michael is survived by his wife,Gloria Padrick Waurzyniak of North Charleston; parents: George and Delores Waurzyniak of Big Rapids, sisters; Karen (Dr. James Hogg D.C.) Waurzyniak-Hogg of Davenport, Iowa, Sue Brigham and Eileen (Kevin) Tucker all of Big Rapids. Brothers; Paul (Jody Carmichael) Waurzyniak of Sunrise, Floria, James (Christine Kehoe) Waurzyniak of Ann Arbor and Thomas (Luann Lloyd) Waurzyniak of Kingsley, Fifteen nieces and nephews, Mother-in-law, Mildred (Neal) Grossack and many extended family members and dear friends. The family will greet friends at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids on Sunday July 8th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and then process to Highland View Cemetery in Big Rapids for a Committal service with military honors under the auspices of the United States Navy. Memorials may be made in Michael Waurzyniak's name to Hospice of Michigan.
