Melissa Lynn Strong, age 48 of Remus, passed away after medical complications on, Sunday, January 21, 2018 in Grand Rapids, MI. She was born December 20, 1969 in Hastings, MI, the daughter of Ty and Paulette (Hart) Strong. Melissa graduated from Maple Valley High School in 1988 and received a CPA degree from Davenport University.

Melissa was kind hearted and sentimental. She adored her family and was always thinking of them. She was giving and would help anyone if she was able. Melissa loved football and doing cross-stich.

Melissa is survived by her daughter, Saraphine (Zach Davis) Strong; her parents, Ty and Paulette Strong all of Remus; two sisters, Sue (Kim) Koos of Barryton, Mariann (Lance) Stevens of Grandville; two grand-dogs, Roxy and Stitch; a grandson on the way; and many aunts, uncles, extended family and close friends who will continue to treasure the memories they hold.

Melissa was preceded in death by her brother, Tony E. Strong; grandparents, Roger and Vivian Hart, Oliver and Lois Strong, Margaret and Edwin McNielly

A celebration of Melissa's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Barryton Church of Christ with the family greeting friends one hour prior from 1PM until 2PM at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made in Melissa's name to the Barryton Church of Christ.
