Melissa M. Feldt, age 44 of Morley formerly of Hudsonville, passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 29, 2023. She was born in Grand Rapids on January 23, 1979, the daughter of Andrew Guikema and Mary VanderTil. She was a 1997 graduate of Hudsonville High School. Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science with Health Fitness Instruction Emphasis from Grand Valley State University. She met the love of her life, Dan Feldt, at the age of 16 and they were married December 16, 2000. Together they raised their three boys in Hudsonville before moving to Morley in 2021. Melissa had many talents and passions; her flower garden, running, and helping others. Melissa saw the good in the world, had endless patience, and was kind to anyone she met. She was a loving wife and mother and she will be greatly missed. Melissa is survived by her husband of 22 years, Dan of Morley; three sons, Ryan of Morley, Jacob of Hudsonville, and Joshua of Morley; her mother-in-law, Deanna (John) Harvey of Morley; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father. Private family services were held. Melissa was laid to rest at Aetna Township Cemetery in Morley.
