Maxine A. Kettel age 83, of Barryton passed away on Monday, December 19, 2011 at the home of her daughter Dianne. She was born on February 25, 1928 in Jackson, Michigan to Alfred and Lulu (VanEpps) Peavy. Maxine married Jerome P. Kettel in Wayne, MI on May 25, 1946. They made their home in Barryton in the mid 1960's. Maxine enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family. Maxine is survived by five sons: Lawrence (Betty) Kettel of Jackson, Wayne "Tony" (Jennifer) Kettel of TN, Jeffrey Kettel of Barryton, Daniel Kettel Barryton and Mark (Diane) Kettel of Saginaw; four daughters, Dianne Stiles of Barryton who has provided continuous care and support for her mother through her illness, Linda (Clyde) Antcliff of Sears, Robin Heatherington of Lakeview and Vicki (Jack) Ulrich of Barryton; one sister Beatrice Janette "Janet" Hall of Manti, Utah and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerome in 1995, four sisters; Mildred, Marjorie, Marion and Monabelle "Penny" and one brother Norris. Cremation has taken place.
