Mary M. McPherson age 69 of Barryton passed away Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born in Westphalia on May 31, 1937 to Edmund and Lucille (Feneis) Naseman. Mary was raised in the Westphalia and Portland areas graduating from Portland High School in 1956. She married Lewis McPherson July 3, 1971. She was employed at St. Lawrence Medical Hospital in Lansing where she was a nurse's aide. Mary and Lewis moved to Barryton in 1981. She currently enjoyed being a volunteer driver for C.O.A, R.S.V.P, F.I.A, and Hope Network. Mary loved Bingo, her animals, taking care of her yard and flowers. Always a pleasure to be around her infectious smile will be remembered by her family: She is survived by two sisters: Rosemary Baker of Portland Pauline (Roy) Wireman of Eagle Brother: Edward (Lenora) Naseman of Six Lakes Step daughter: Marcella (James) Scott Step sons: Scott and Lewis O. McPherson Step grandchildren: Brian, Makayla, Robert Benjamin, Danelle and Dana Special Nephew Thomas (Michelle) Baker Dear friend Wilma Bassett and her sons whom Mary adopted as her own Matthew and Michael, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew. Mary had many friends that will treasure the time and memories they have. Besides her parents Mary is preceded in death by her husband Lewis in 1992, Stepson Robert McPherson, Step grandson Ronnie McPherson and brother-in-law Melvin Baker. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. The family will greet friends at the funeral home (tonight) Monday from 2-4 and 6-8.
