Mary Alice Green (Tripp), age 92 of Barryton, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Mary was born on November 11, 1923 in Mecosta County, MI to Sherman and Maude (Sherlock) Kinney. She was a lifelong resident of Barryton and raised her family there. Mary enjoyed ceramics, drawing, sewing and arts and crafts. She is survived by her daughter Judy Johnson of Sand Lake; three sons, James Tripp of Piqua, OH, John and Joe Tripp of Barryton; one sister Luella (Donald) Brown of DeWitt, MI; and seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Mary was preceded in death by husbands: Mark Tripp in 1965 and Rolland Green in 1997; a son, Jerald J. Tripp; daughter, Jill Newhall; three sisters, Gladys Witbeck, Florence Harris and Cleva Grof. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, April, 1, 2016 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with Pastor Gary Bryan officiating. The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31st at the Daggett Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
