Mary L. Eastman, age 83 of Evart, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019 at her home. She was born December 25, 1935 in Evart, the daughter of William and Della (Cook) Schmidt. Mary graduated Evart High School in 1954. She was employed by Evart Products as an assembler and retired after 28 years. Mary married Rex Eastman on August 6, 1955. Together they raised their family and made their home in Gaines until they moved back to Evart in 1972. Mary enjoyed crafting, hunting, and fishing. She is survived by two sons, Allen Eastman of Evart and Mitchell (Cynthia) Eastman of Mississippi; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Art (Janet) Schmidt of Hersey; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband Rex in 2016; son, Anthony Eastman; and five brothers. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
