Mary T. Anderson, age 94 of Hersey, passed away on August 13, 2022, at her home. She was born March 11, 1928, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Frank and Inez (Harrigan) Loviska. She married Albert Anderson Sr. on October 11, 1947. Mary earned her GED after many years of working and raising her family. She was employed by Wolverine Glove Factory in Reed City until it closed and then started with Wolverine World Wide until she retired. Mary also enjoyed being a caregiver for Commission on Aging for over 10 years. She was a member of RSVP, Singer Featherweight Club, and various quilting associations as it was her passion. Mary made quilts for each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a talented baker and flower gardener. Mary liked feeding and watching the birds and deer in her yard, and hunting deer in her younger years. She was proud of her children and her beloved grandchildren. Mary is survived by her children, Sherrel "Sherry" Sturm of Hersey, Andrew (Maricel) Anderson of Philippians, Albert "Ted" (Renate) Anderson Jr. of Reed City, and Kenneth "Ken" (Dawn) Anderson of Reed city; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Louise, Michael, Gabrielle, Joshua, Jason, Katy, Jesse, and Robert; nine great-grandchildren; three siblings, John "Dave" Loviska of Big Rapids, Margaret Fuller of Big Rapids, and Shirley Forte of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Anderson Sr., daughter Barbara Anderson, son-in-law John "Jack" Sturm, siblings Richard, Donald, James, Francis "Sunny" Loviska, and Virginia Palmer. A Memorial Service will take place 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2022, at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.
