Marvene Siefer Bezucha, age 88 of Rosebush, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 at Rosebush Manor. She was born May 8, 1923 in Bremen, IN, the daughter of Marvin and Ardis Siefer. Marvene graduated from Ball State University and taught high school physical education in Logansport, IN. Marvene moved to Madison, WI where she was employed by the Girl Scouts. She married Donald Bezucha on December 1, 1953. They were both employed by the Kenosha, WI Boy and Girl Scouts. Marvene later taught elementary physical education for 14 years in Sterling, IL. before retiring to Canadian Lakes. She is survived by her daughter Mary Anne (Gordon) Henry of Canadian Lakes, a son Martin Bezucha of Custer, SD; 3 granddaughters, Kehli (Christopher Eno) Henry, Mira and Emily Henry; a great-granddaughter Elliana; a brother Rulo (Barbara) Siefer of Bremen, IN; a niece Rebecca Siefer of CO.; 2 nephews, John and Michael Siefer of IN. Marvene was preceded in death by her husband Donald Bezucha and her parents. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 8th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Switzer officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow the service at Northland United Methodist Church in Stanwood.
