Obituary

Martha Ann Ranshaw, age 83 of Remus, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 2, 2018 at home with her family at her side. She was born on May 14, 1935 in Winona, Mississippi to William and Eva (Putman) Kelly. Martha graduated in 1954 from Iva High School in MS. On April 5, 1957 Martha married Duane A. Ranshaw in Jacksonville, MS. They made their home in Shaftsburg, MI where they raised their family. Martha was a school attendant at Perry High School retiring in 1980. Upon retirement Duane and Martha moved to Remus. Martha looked forward to her poker games, trips to the casino and bingo. Martha is survived by her loving husband Duane; one son, Larry (Richelle) Ranshaw of Remus and their children; Violet (Steve) Kramer, Larry Ranshaw II and Tonya Ranshaw; one daughter, Nancy (Curt) Copelin of Woodland and their children; Andrew (Lindzy) Copelin, Jason Copelin and Ashley Copelin. She is also survived by one sister, Frances Sherritt, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; children, Mark and Margie Ann Ranshaw and thirteen siblings. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Interment will be at East Fork Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
