Mark E. Gilman, 54, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at his home. He was born on May 1, 1963 in Clare, MI to Edward and Carolyn (Bazaire) Gilman. When Mark was 22 he sustained injuries in an automobile accident that left him wheelchair bound. He lived his life to the fullest, felt he had a great life and had little to complain about. Mark was the life of the party, had a defining character and was very self-confident. Mark enjoyed Nascar and sports, especially boxing. Attending the Holyfield/Tyson match with his son, Eric was a memory he treasured. To never let life hold you back and to be able to take care of your family and help them while they are helping you, are two things he would want everyone to remember.Mark is gone but not forgotten by; his son Eric (Julie); mother, Carolyn; siblings, Lonny (Wendy) Gilman of Mecosta, Tony (Rita) Gilman of Lake, Lesly (Tim) Pounder of MN and April (Brad) Newson of Lake; five Aunts, two Uncles, many nieces, nephews, caregivers and close friends. Mark was preceded in death by his dad Edward and grandparents, J.B. and Margaret Gilman and Lewis and Georgina Bazaire.For his love of the Brinton Chapel the family asks memorial donations be given to them.
