Marjory J. Hyder, 90 of Remus, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 in Mt. Pleasant. She was born on November 16, 1927, in Remus to Clark and Harriet (Foster) Diehl. She grew up in the Remus area, graduated from Remus High School and married Albert R. Hyder in May of 1947. Marjory and Albert loved to square dance when they were able. They went to Chimney Science of Santa Claus Class in Bay City and for over 50 years brought joy to peoples lives throughout Christmas time by suiting up as Mr. and Mrs. Claus for private parties and in shopping malls. Together they were also 4-H Leaders in Isabella County until 2011. She enjoyed doing and selling Tri-chem Paintings, was an avid canner and faithful member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Mecosta. Marjory is survived by the family she loved spending time with; her daughters, Cathy VanOrden of Mt. Pleasant and Emily Wolfe of Bronson; a daughter-in-law, Ilene Hyder; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will continue to hold the memories they have close to their hearts. Marjory was preceded in death by her parents; husband Albert in 2014; daughter, Nancy in 2016; son, Allen in 2014; sons-in-law, Clinton VanOrden and Ken Wolfe; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren, three siblings, Ward Diehl, Lon Clark Diehl and Phoebe Bellinger. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, October 4, 2018 at New Hope United Methodist Church (7296 9 Mile Rd.) Mecosta, with the family greeting friends one hour prior, 10 AM 11 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to New Hope United Methodist Church for Missions.
