Marjorie Dianne Haney, known affectionately as Dianne, passed away on August 1. 2024, in Reed City, Michigan at the age of 84. Dianne was born on December 22, 1939 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Dianne dedicated many years to her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse before retiring to focus on raising her family. Her creativity and artistic flair were evident in her hobbies. Dianne was a talented seamstress, creating beautiful clothes and the legendary "happy pants" that brought warmth and comfort to the men in her family. In her later years, she crafted beautiful jewelry sets for "Secret Santa Shops" at local schools, enabling children to give something special to their mothers. Diannes life was marked by her enduring curiosity and her creative spirit. These qualities not only enriched her own life, but also those around her.
Dianne was very active in the areas Al-Anon community and she developed many lasting and precious friendships along the way.
She is survived by her children, Richard Haney (Cheryl), Jane Belland (Joe), and Patrick Haney; a brother, Timothy Little (Carol), eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Zeke and Violet Little; her brother, James (Zeke) Little; and her beloved husband of 64 years, Earl Haney.
A memorial luncheon will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Blodgett Landing Campground in Hersey, MI to honor Diannes life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, a cause close to Diannes heart. Arrangements are being handled by Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids, MI.
Diannes departure leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and warmth, touching all those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
