Marilyn A. Ripley, age 78, formerly of Big Rapids passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018at her daughters home near Evart.She was born July 9, 1940, in Leroy to Oscar and Marion (Rowe) Edstrom. Marilyn married Hiram W. Ripley on September 9, 1961 in Leroy and they moved to Big Rapids to make their home. She worked many years for Wolverine World Wide. Gardening was Marilyns passion. She started many of her plants from seed and loved making arrangements for her home using the flowers she grew. She also enjoyed doing arts and crafts, especially cross-stitching and painting. Marilyn is survived by her one son, Randy (Glenna) Ripley of Howard City; two daughters, Angela (Bob Moot) Ripley of Evart and Paula (Albert) Robinson of Big Rapids; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Jeanie Wilson. Graveside services will take place on 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Pine Plains Cemetery in Big Rapids, Michigan. Memorial contribution may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
