Margaret B. Nickles, 97, of Big Rapids, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Butterworth Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids. She was born on October 29, 1917, in Detroit, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Burma Warnke; her husband of 57 years, Lewis Burbank Nickles; and one son, Roger Allen Nickles. She is survived by her son, Jerry E. Nickles of Paris, MI; her daughter, Dr. Beverly JN Bowen, PhD. of Mechanicville, Maryland; two grandsons, Edward A. Bowen of Burlington, IA and David E. Bowen of Crofton, MD; and three great-grandchildren, Jasemine A. Bowen and Justin R. Bowen, both of Clarksville, TN and Madison L. Bowen of California, MD. She was a Life member of Order of Eastern Star, Crescent #47 in Stanton, MI and a life-long member of the United Methodist Church. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place and her burial will be in the family plot in Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon, MI.
