Marda J. Jehnsen, age 80 of Rodney, died suddenly Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. She was born August 9, 1940 in Sears, the daughter of Norris and Katherine (Cox) Miller. Marda married Raymond Jehnsen in 1957 and together they raised their three daughters on Jehnsen Lake at the family farm. She was determined and a hard worker. Marda was employed by Evart Products for 49 years, retiring in 2008. She was a faithful member of Chippewa Lake Community Church. Marda had many talents, including beading, crafting, and crocheting. She enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens with Raymond. Marda loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Karen (Troy Greiner) Makarewicz of Cedar Springs, Marlene (Brant Nelson) Jehnsen of Jehnsen Lake, Connie (Dan) Campbell of Jehnsen Lake; six grandchildren, Dustin, Britney, Ernest, Elizabeth, Daisy, Hunter; eight great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marilyn "Kate" Miller of Evart, Phyllis Beall of Florida; many nieces and nephews. Marda was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond on August 5, 2006; granddaughter, Renee Lynn Jehnsen; siblings, Norva (Wayne) Simmons, and Norris "Bud" Miller. Funeral Services will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Chippewa Lake Community Church with Pastor Roger Bennett officiating. Marda will be laid to rest at Martiny Township Cemetery in Rodney. The family will greet friends while following the government guidelines.
