Marcia Pointer, age 82 of Morley passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Spectrum Health Kelsey Campus Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Lakeview. She was the daughter of Reas and Omma (Jones) Redman. Marcia married Richard Pointer on April 22, 1957. They loved to travel, take casino trips and being amateur restaurant food critics. Marica and Richard shared 58 years together before his death on September 21, 2015.

Marcia was a strong woman, persistent and a courageous individual. She was very talented and shared these talents by sewing quilts for family members, knitting and crocheting hats for residents of the Kelsey rehab center, as well as hats and mittens for St. Marys Preschool. Marcia also enjoyed embroidery gift projects.

Surviving are four daughters, Patricia (Perry) Dukes of Big Rapids, Kathie (Denny) Smith of Morley, Beth (Scott) Stringer of Kingsley and Victoria (Jeffrey) White of Lansing; fifteen grandchildren, Justin (Monica), Zachary (Kerry) and Eli Dukes; Lauren (Bryan) Aymor, McKenzie, Tricia (Tyler) Bennett and Dakota Smith; and Jarrod, Tyler, Jason, Drayton and Kariyssa Stringer; Ryan, Kyle and Hailey White; six great grandchildren Dawson (Andrea) Norris, Isabelle Dukes, Austin and Mason Aymor, Kane Bennett, Claira Smith and one great grandson on the way; one great great grandson Diego Lee Norris. Also surviving are sister, Marian Larson; sister-in-law Lorraine (John) Dwelle as well as countless nieces, nephews and friends.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Jerry Redman, sister Yvonne (Ivan) Peterson and brother-in-law Ronald Larsen.

She loved her children, grandchildren, and doted upon her many great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by generations.

A private family graveside service will be scheduled at a later date.

Memorial contributions in Marcias name may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice, the Michael J. Fox Foundation or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
