Madalyn Marie Zuke, age 92, of Cadillac, formerly of Barryton, went to be with the Lord, Monday, March 3, 2008. She was born May 2, 1915 in Fork Twp., Mecosta Co., to Walter and Della (Gardner) Enyart. She married the late Warren White and they made their home in Barryton where they raised their family. Madalyn married Charles T. Zuke Sr. and they moved to Cadillac in the early 1970's where she has resided ever since. She was multitalented, strong willed and self sufficient. In her children's eyes there wasn't anything their mother couldn't do. Her greatest joy was canning which was an art to her. Family and friends will remember Madalyn for her art work including oil paintings and the dolls she has made. She wrote a novel and loved antiques. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting and making doll clothes. Madalyn ran a nursing home in Barryton and worked at Ferris in the kitchen. The characteristics of Madalyn are seen in the talents of her seven children: Bruce (Janet) of Edwardsburg Lynn (Carol) of Shelby Twp. Michael (Marilyn) of Marine City Lonnie (Jayne) of Owosso Norma (Dale) Ewart of Greenbush Joyce White of Cadillac Patricia (Marlin) Eitland of St. Paul, MN 28 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, husbands: Warren White in 1967 and Charles Zuke Sr. in 1982. Funeral services for Madalyn will take place 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Barryton Church of God with Pastor Wayne Hull officiating. Interment will be held in the spring at Forest Hill Cemetery in Evart. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Barryton Church of God on Thursday, March 6th.
