Mabel M. (Ranshaw) Horning, 95 of Barryton, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015. Mabel and her twin sister, Maudie, were born on August 23, 1919 in Stecker, Oklahoma to Elmer and Maude (Ray) Barr. She also had a sister, Inez and a brother, JT. All have preceded her in death. From her marriage to Ilford Ranshaw there were four children, Arden (Paula) Ranshaw of Mecosta, Allen (Kathy) Ranshaw of Clifton, TN, Leonard (Jeanie) Ranshaw of Traverse City and Carol (Larry) Benjamin of Barryton; 19 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. After Ilford's death she married Leroy Horning and acquired a step family. Mabel came to know Jehovah God and her service to Jehovah was very important to her. She enjoyed attending meetings at the Kindom Hall and all of the many friends she had there. Mabel enjoyed embroidery, often giving embroidered tea towels or pillowcases for wedding gifts. She also enjoyed traveling and brought home a coffee cup from every state she visited.
