Lynnette "Babe" Shepard passed away on May 24, 2025, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, at the age of 67. She was born on June 5, 1957, the daughter of Foy Brown and Mabel Welch in Lakeview.

Lynnette spent 38 dedicated years as a cook at Remus Tavern, where her love for food and people came together in a place she held dear. For a time, she shared that special kitchen with her mother, later her daughter, and son, creating more than meals—building memories and traditions that will live on.

Known for her free spirit and generous heart, Lynnette was passionate about music and loved nothing more than attending live concerts. Her warmth and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Keri (John) Dennis and Kyle Shepard; her grandchildren, Korryn, Kaidence, and Lucas; her siblings, Ed and Sherry; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Her family will deeply miss her presence, her laughter, and her unwavering love.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Foy Brown and Mabel Welch.
