Lynn J. Garchow, age 58 of Chippewa Lake, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at his home. He was born October 24, 1956 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Delbert and Ila (Stockwell) Garchow. Lynn graduated from Chippewa Hills High School in 1975. He later attended Mid-Michigan Community College for two years. Lynn married Jacqueline Priest in 1995. He loved the outdoors; especially hunting and farming. Lynn would always lend a helping hand to those in need. He is survived by his life partner and wife of 40 years, Jacqueline Garchow of Chippewa Lake; a step-son, Bob Dyer of Chippewa Lake; two children, Shawn Riley of Sears and Shawn Lynn Garchow of Barryton; five grandchildren, Chelsea, Emily, Jacob, Nathaniel and Maddison; two brothers, Steve (Diane) Garchow of Rodney and Donald Garchow of Barryton; sister, Bonnie (Scott) Langworthy of Barryton; uncle, Jim (Deana) Stockwell of Evart; aunt, Geraldine Harpster of Clare; many nieces and nephews. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents. The family will greet friends 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Lynn will be laid to rest at Chippewa Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Lynn's name may be made to the Daggett Funeral Home.
