Our father, Lyle L. Swain, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at the age of 83. He was born Septmeber 4, 1924 in Lansing, Michigan the son of Archie and Ethel (Robinson) Swain. Lyle worked for the State of Michigan, Department of Agriculture and retied in 1997 after 32 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lizette (Waterhouse) Swain. his special loving mother, Blanche Robinson and his parents. Lyle will be dearly missed by daughter; Diana (Richard) Weck of Mecosta, Son; James (Mary Ann) Swain of Mecosta, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a sister; Donna FiField of Vermontville, MI Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20th at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing with the Reverend Rockney Wing of Calvary Grace Assembly Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, Big Rapids.
