Lyle Allan Simcox, age 66 of New Buffalo, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, IN. Lyle was born June 1, 1941 in Mecosta County to Harold and Carrie (Rose) Simcox. He was a truck driver, driving many times across the country. Lyle was an avid NASCAR fan. He is survived by; 2 sons: Dale and Scott Simcox both of New Buffalo a brother; Harold Simcox of New Buffalo a sister; Mary Sanders of Lansing a sister-in-law; Karen Simcox of New Buffalo, a grand-daughter; Brandy Lynn Simcox and many nieces and nephews. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; Harold and Carrie and a brother; Vernon. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Reverend Edward Slate officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Mecosta.
