Lyle Forest Moore, age 81of Coral, formerly of Barryton, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Kelsey Memorial Hospital in Lakeview. He was born on June 15, 1930 in Barryton to Forest and May (Sloan) Moore. Lyle was honorably discharged the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Dorothy Winters on April 10, 1976. Lyle worked the farm where he was born before making his home in Coral with Dorothy. He was employed by Federal Mogul in Greenville where he worked in maintenance until his retirement at age 70. Lyle loved the outdoors, hunting and playing the guitar. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dorothy of Coral; sons Mike (Vel) of Barryton and David (Cheri) of Stanton; sisters Letha Benkert of Barryton and Leola (Jay) Darnell of Mt. Pleasant; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Leo and LJ. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10th at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11th at the Daggett Funeral Home. Interment will be in the spring at East Fork Cemetery in Barryton. Memorial donations in Lyle's name can be made toward services and left at the Daggett Funeral Home.
