Obituary

Lucille Josephine "Lou" Loskowski, age 90 of White Cloud, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023. She was born in Willis on October 24, 1932, the daughter of John and Cecilia (Ackerman) Yelinek. Lucille graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn in 1951. She married the love of her life, Ronald Loskowski, on October 24, 1953, and together they raised their children in Wayne. In 1962, they moved to White Cloud for three years. Lucille and Ron realized that the journey Ron was making to work at Ford was too hard on their family, and they decided to move back to Wayne. After Ron retired, they split their time between their homes in White Cloud and Sevierville, Tennessee, before permanently settling back in their home in White Cloud where Lucille was currently living. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Lucille also liked to hunt deer. She loved her family and had a kind heart. Lucille is survived by her four children, Debora Nemeth of White Cloud, Dale Loskowski of Westland, David (Denise) Loskowski of Redford Township, and Douglas Loskowski of White Cloud; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald Loskowski on May 10, 2012, daughter-in-law Carol Ann-Gerrard Loskowski, son-in-law Edward Nemeth, son-in-law Dwyane Elders, and her six siblings Rosemary Soja, Geraldine Markham, Adelaide Sizen, Therese Sylvester, Veronica Ocholik, and John "Jack" Yelinek III. Mass of the Resurrection will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2023, at Saint Mary Catholic Church, where Lucille was an avid member, with Father Jegar Fickel officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. preceding Mass at the Church. Lucille will be laid to rest at Goodwell Township Cemetery in Newaygo County in the Spring.
