Lucille E. "Lucy" Kazmer, age 66 of Stanwood, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at home. She was born December 14, 1950 in Hamtramck the daughter of Thaddeus and Lucille (Domin) Kazmer. Lucy lived in Detroit where she worked as a CNA. Following her fathers passing, Lucy moved to Stanwood, to be with her mother, continuing her work in Mecosta County as a CNA. She is survived by her mother, Lucille I. Kazmer of Stanwood; two sisters, Thadine (Alan Schepka) Kazmer of Warren, Carol (Paul) Liffman of Houston, TX; a niece Maya Barrett of Columbus, OH; an uncle, Alex Domin of Warren and many cousins. Lucy was preceded in death by her father Thaddeus J. Kazmer on April 15, 2004. A Mass of Christian burial will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 9, 2017 at St. Paul Campus Parish in Big Rapids. Lucy loved animals and with that in mind the family requests memorial contributions in her name may be made to ARC of Mecosta County.
