Lucille M. Bulson, age 80 of Big Rapids formerly of Hesperia, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021, at Altercare of Big Rapids. She was born in Muskegon on June 15, 1940, the daughter of the late Hershal and Sadie (Reinoldt) Prickett. Lucille was a 1958 graduate of Holton High School. She married the love of her life, Buster Bulson, October 26, 1957. Sadly, Buster passed unexpectedly in 1977 and Lucille raised her five boys in Hesperia. She worked various jobs in the community before moving to Big Rapids. Lucille retired in 2002 from Wolverine World Wide after 10 years of employment. During her time in Big Rapids, Lucille was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. She was a generous mother, grandmother, and friend to all. When Lucille was able, she enjoyed taking her boys camping and would backpack out on State Land to set up tents. Lucille looked forward to cookouts with her family and spending time with them. She also liked playing bingo, puzzles, and crocheting. Lucille will be greatly missed. She is survived by her five sons, Greg (Laura) of Bay City, Jerry (Debbie) of Big Rapids, Terry of Holt, Charlie (Marrie) of White Cloud, and Billy of White Hall; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister Jean Lorenz of Fremont; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Lucille will be laid to rest in the Spring at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Newaygo County. Due to COVID-19 there are no services planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made in Lucilles name to your local American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
