Lowell E. Ranshaw, 76 of Barryton, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at his home with loved ones at his side. He was born at home on August 16, 1935 in Barryton, Michigan to Gerald and Helen (Shank) Ranshaw. Lowell married E. Carolyn Kilpatrick on April 3, 1971. He was a member of the Roadrunner Mens' Club in Barryton for 11years and retired from Shafer Bakery (Way Bakery) in Lansing/Jackson after 37 years. Lowell is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Carolyn, 3 daughters: Gail (Mary Sanchez) Ranshaw of Albuquerque, NM, Pam (Doug) Johnson of Charlotte, Teresa Blanford of Lansing; 4 grand children, 4 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers: William (Betty), Ronald (Jerry), Duane (Martha) all of Barryton; 1 sister Elouise (Ron) Pohl of Houghton Lake, Special Friends/ Family, Jerry (Carrol) Hanner of Mason, and many nieces and nephews. Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, beloved grandmother Estella, infant sister Betty and his brother Gary (Pat) Ranshaw. Cremation has taken place through the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at Rolling Rock Ranch, with the family greeting friends one hour prior. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Roadrunner Mens' Club or the Barryton Central Park Project.
