Lovina M. London, age 88 of Big Rapids, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013. She was born July 19, 1924 in Gladwin the daughter of Harry Mary (Austin) Dickerson. Lovina married Hugh London and together they made their home in Big Rapids. She was employed by Wolverine World Wide for several years. Lovina later worked as the cook at the Casanova Lounge in Big Rapids. She is survived by her daughter, Arlene Newberry of Big Rapids; grandchildren, Jennifer Newberry of Athens, OH, Denise Newberry of Big Rapids and Carla (Dave) Gilliam of Lake; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Grover (Alice) Cook of Big Rapids; two sisters, Emma Ostrander of Georgia and Margaret Macan of Flint; many nieces and nephews. Lovina was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh London, her son, Joe London and her parents. There will be a gathering of friends and family 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Martiny Township Cemetery when Lovina's cremains are laid to rest.
