In 1946, Louise married Earl Rehkopf, the love of her life. Together they raised their three children, Ronald, Richard, and Julia on the family farm. She enjoyed gardening, canning, picking blueberries, baking and her Monday Night Ladies group. From a young age Louise has always been a caregiver to her siblings Julia, Claude, Lawrence and Vera. In her later years cared for her husband Earl at their home for over twenty years due to Alzheimers Disease. Louise is survived by her three children, Ronald (Deborah) Rehkopf of Big Rapids, Richard Rehkopf of Gaylord, Julia (Brian) Houghton of Big Rapids; nine grandchildren, Jason Rehkopf of Arcanum, Ohio, Erick Rehkopf of Whites Creek, Tennessee, Aaron (Sue) Rehkopf of Grandville, Jennifer Rehkopf of Big Rapids, Rich (Dana) Rehkopf of Reed City, Brian (Renee) Rehkopf of Reed City, Tim (Jamie) Rehkopf of Reed City, Jennifer (Todd) Piggott of Big Rapids, and Byron (Nicole) Greenleaf of Lansing; along with 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Lawrence (Dorothy Frye) Tift; brother-in-law, George Rentscher, and good friend, Louise Byrnes. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Earl; brother, Claude Tift; and sisters, Julia Rentschler and Vera Miller-Retzloff. With a welcoming smile that captured our hearts, we will always remember Louise for her strength, honesty and strong work ethic. At Louises request a private funeral will be held.
