Louise A. Christiansen, age 69 of Chippewa Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 20, 2018. She was born March 22, 1949 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Harry and Geraldine ( Steinbrecker) Mull. Louise graduated from high school in Grand Rapids. She married Douglas on August 24, 1968 in Chippewa Lake and together they made their home and raised their family in Grand Rapids and Chippewa Lake. Louise was an advocate for the Chippewa Lake community. She was one of the founding members of the Young Womens Club of Chippewa Lake where they organized holiday events and swimming lessons for children. Louise was also very active in the Mecosta County Senior Center; she was the Mecosta County Representative for the Area Agency on Aging. Louise was a fighter when she believed in something to benefit the community she would back it until it was completed. Louise is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Douglas of Rodney; two sons, Richard (Susanne) of Grand Rapids and Eric (Bobbi) of Chippewa Lake; two grandchildren, Michael (Diana McDaniel) and Rebecca; two siblings, Robert Mull of Wyoming, Michigan and Tammy Welch of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded death by her parents and her brother, Raymond Mull. There will be a time of fellowship held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Louise requested that she didnt want flowers after she passed, she enjoyed them while she was alive, in her memory, if you wish to donate, please give contributions to the Mecosta County Senior Center.
