Lorraine Elois Lewis, age 72, a lifelong resident of Big Rapids, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021. She was born June 23, 1948 in Big Rapids the daughter of Harold and Elois (Bunker) Lewis. Lorraine graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1966. She began her working career in April of 1967 at Wolverine World Wide working in both Rockford and Big Rapids. Lorraine retired in 2010 and soon after began volunteer work helping the community through Bible education. She had been a member of the Big Rapids Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses since 1961. Lorraine was affectionately known as "Rain" by family and friends. She enjoyed crafting, photography, her flowers and her birds. She loved to travel, especially trips to the Upper Peninsula and Niagara Falls, where she visited light houses, waterfalls and family members that lived in the area. Lorraine is survived by a brother, Deuaine (Bobbie) Lewis of Leslie; 10 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Daralee Rolston and a brother Bradley Lewis. A virtual Memorial Service will take place, via Zoom, at 1:00 p.m. April 24, 2021 with Brian Laughhunn officiating.
