Lorraine T. Korpal, age 87 of Morley, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, March 18, 2008. She was born March 16, 1921 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Lorraine graduated from Purdue University with her Nursing degree. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Kelsey Memorial Hospital in Lakeview and was retired from Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. Lorraine will be remembered as a very loving person by friends and her surviving family members who include; her loving husband of 67 years, Norbert Korpal. 8 children; Karen and Phil Stillwell of Big Rapids, Michael and Teresa Korpal of Morley, Susan and Charles Erke of N. Fondu Lac, WI, Norman Korpal of Plymouth, WI, Linda Brown of Brady, TX, Shirley Berenyi of Perrinton, MI, Cheryl and Pat Hyman of Hollidaysburg, PA, Lois and Bob Thompson of Haslet, TX, 27 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There will be no public services. Memorial contributions in Lorraine's name may be made to the Mecosta County Commission on Aging/Senior Center or to the program of your choice. Envelopes may be obtained at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids where arrangements were made.
