Loraine "Bea" M. Roebuck, age 86 of Rodney, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Tendercare of Wyoming where she has resided the last several years. She was born on July 6, 1924 in Grand Rapids to Howard and Celia (Glisick) Forbush. On September 13, 1947 Bea married Charles E. Roebuck in Grand Rapids. Bea was a member of the Chippewa Lake Community Church, the Albert Schiffer VFW Post No. 2335 Women's Auxiliary of Mecosta and the Big Rapids Eagles Aerie No. 2535. Bea was the caring mother of 7 children. She is survived by Ray of Sand Lake, Robert and Karla of Rodney, Ken and Jan of Rodney, Tom and Val of Rodney, Sue and Mike Plummer of Byron Center and Don of Rodney; 9 grandchildren, Randy, Tyler, Jared, Amy, Kelli, April, Jennifer, Dennis and Tommy; 6 great-grandchildren, Trevor, Haley, Owen, Kyle, Shelby and Preston, Grace and Logan; and one sister, Marian Timmer of Wyoming. Bea was preceded in death by her husband Charles Roebuck in 2001, one son Dennis and 2 sisters. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastors Steven Scott and Wayne Hull co-officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Martiny Township Cemetery. Memorial donations in Bea's name can be made to the Chippewa Lake Community Church.
