Lois A. Barone, age 77of Big Rapids, died Monday, January 31, 2022. She was born June 10, 1944 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Max and Evelyn (Koets) Carpenter. Lois enjoyed dancing and watching tv. She liked fishing; especially cooking the fish she caught. Lois loved dogs, drawing, coloring in adult coloring books, and making afghans for her children. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Lois was a "hell raiser" but will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her children, Carol (Mike) King, Loann Spieker, Sue (Phil) Ridinger, David Spieker, Shannon Barone, Brandon (Danielle) Barone; brothers, Dan (Rebecca) Carpenter, Ron Carpenter; grandchildren, Michael and Elizabeth King, Corey Ridinger, David, Kara, Ryan, Anthony Sanchez, Katelyn, Jesse, Trenton, Brodey and Brielle Barone; many nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Joyce Carpenter.
