Linda M. Rasmussen, age 58 of Big Rapids, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 26, 1956 in Big Rapids, the daughter of Orville Sr. and Evelyn (Prim) Rasmussen. Linda graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1974. She was employed by Frigidaire in Greenville where she lived for a few years. In 2000 Linda began living her dream of traveling the United States in her RV. Linda is survived by three sisters, Judy (Roger) Winegar, Maxine McClelland both of Big Rapids and Carla McGee of Hobart, IN; three brothers, Orville Rasmussen Jr. of Grand Rapids, Rick (Cheryl) Rasmussen and Gary (Rennell) Rasmussen both of Big Rapids; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; two great-great nieces and a great-great nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Theodore "Ted" Rasmussen; niece, Jana Winegar Pollaski Newman; and nephew, Richard "Ricky" Rasmussen. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held 5:00 p.m. Friday June 26, 2015 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
