Linda L. McDonald, age 58 of Big Rapids, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008. She was born July 28, 1950 in Big Rapids the daughter of Frederick D. and Marjorie V. (Stafford) Mosher. Linda graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1968. She married Craig McDonald on February 14, 1970. Together they made their home in Big Rapids where Linda worked for the Ferris Inn, Altercare and most recently Metron, all in Big Rapids. When Linda wasn't working and taking care of her family she enjoyed spending time with her friends, chatting over a cup of coffee and going garage sales. She will be forever missed by many dear friends and her loving family including; Her husband Craig W. McDonald; a son, Troy (April) McDonald; a daughter, Brooke (John) Iltis; 6 grandchildren; Nicole, Devin, Samantha, Mariah, Devan and Megan; her mother, Marge Mosher-Bobowik; a brother, Allen (Patt) Mosher; 2 sisters, Viola "Timmy" Szpiech and Deborah (Dan) Borst and her dog, "Duke" all of the Big Rapids area; many nieces, nephews and special friends, Joan Anderson and Marshelle Argue. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Mosher and step-father, Frank Bobowik. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31st at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor John Bookshaw officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in Linda's name may be made to the Susan P. Wheatlake Women's Cancer and Wellness Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
