Linda Gilbert, a former longtime resident of Big Rapids, passed away on September 3, 2010 surrounded by her family and her dog, Harley. Linda will be greatly missed by her children, Danya Pollaski (Roger) of Oshkosh, WI, Todd Gilbert (Sherri) of Big Rapids, Kirsten Harper (Tom) of San Antonio, TX, and Erin Gilbert of Big Rapids, her grandchildren, Kit, Emy, Cayla, Morgan, McKenzie, her great grandson, Max, her canine companion, Harley, as well as many friends most notably in Michigan, Florida, and Texas. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Carl Ellison, her brother, Don, and Don's wife and son, Alice and Luke, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A prayer vigil will be held at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids at 7:30 in the evening with family visitation from 5:30 "" 7:30 pm on Sunday, September 5th. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11am on Monday, September 6th at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1009 Marion Ave, in Big Rapids.
