Leonard H. Cramer, age 90 of Big Rapids, died Friday, April 2, 2021 at Altercare. Leonard was born March 5, 1931 in Howard City, the son of Everett and Bernice (Kelly) Cramer. He graduated from Morley High School in 1949 and joined the United States Air Force a short time later. Leonard was a radioman stationed atop a mountain in South Korea; he was also his units boxing champion. Leonard was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1955. On November 3, 1956 he married Dian Ebbitt and they raised three children. As a family they loved to take camping trips all across the United States. Leonard enjoyed deer hunting with his brother Wayne and hunting for morels. He loved to ride his John Deere tractor and take care of the yard. In his later years, Leonard enjoyed bird counting, crossword puzzles and was a good handyman to have around. Leonard is survived by his wife of 64 years Dian; sons, Bradley (Sherri) Cramer of Elkhart, Indiana, Michael (Deborah) Cramer of Brooklyn; daughter, Kelly Guttenberg of Suttons Bay; grandchildren, Heidi (Cory) McGuire, Shawn (Lindsey) Cramer, Brian and Stephanie Guttenberg; great-grandchildren, Emma, Kate, and Abby McGuire; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gail and Wayne Cramer. The family will greet friends while following the government guidelines.
