He was a 1954 graduate of Highland Park High School. Lee earned a Bachelors Degree in Education from Wayne State University in 1959. Since moving to the Canadian Lakes area, Lee has been active with the Mecosta Lions Club and the United Church of Big Rapids. Lee volunteered with a Cherokee youth in Oklahoma and became long term friends with the Smoke family whom he visited every year. He loved to sing and enjoyed taking a drive to Lake Michigan with his wife and dogs. Lee had quite a life, he was a busy and caring man. Lee is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Judy; sons, Mark (Debbie) Thomas, Michael (Susan) Thomas, Matthew (Angie) Thomas, Marty (Courtney) Thomas; daughter, Chris (Steven) Wozniak; and many grandchildren and great-children.
