Lenette Louise Geeting Fuentes passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012 after nearly a five year battle with cancer. Lenette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be sorely missed by those that loved her. She was born on July 27, 1957 to Lester and Ardis (Geeting) Sanford in Saginaw, Michigan. Lenette spent the past decade living in Southwest Detroit. To many friends and family members Lenette was simply known as "Ma" for her kindness, caring heart and her willingness to invite most anyone in need into her home. She was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan as well as an extraordinary cook and homemaker. Her strong sense of independence and strength will forever be remembered. She is survived by her loving husband, Louis Fuentes of Detroit, her son Jason White of Big Rapids, MI; step sons, Dominic, Anthony and Louis Mathew Fuentes all of Saginaw, MI. She is also survived by her step-father Gustave R. Sanford of Big Rapids, MI; brothers, Mike Sanford of Chippewa Lake, MI., Kerry Sanford and Brian (Jennifer) Sanford of Paris, MI. and Scott Sanford of Harrisburg, PA., brother Mark Geeting of Tehachapi, CA. and Orin Geeting of CA.; step brothers and sisters, John and Lori Sanford, Dan and Grace (Sanford) Haner, Gus Sanford, S.T. and Mary Sanford, Steve and Denise (Sanford) Brandt, all of Saginaw, MI. and Leila (Sanford) Schaffer of Hope, MI., Jim and Debbie Sanford of Zilwaukee, MI., as well as her Aunt and Uncle Keith and Jean Tibbits of Lewiston, MI; and 2 grand-children, Dean Austin White and Chase Lambert as well as a host of nieces and nephews and dear friends. Lenette was preceded in death by her loving mother and closest confidant, Ardis (Tibbits-Geeting) Sanford and her father Lester Geeting. A Graveside Mass is scheduled to be held at St. Andrew's Cemetery in Saginaw, MI on October 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m to be officiated by Father Joseph Schabel.
