Leatrice E. "Lea" Britten, age 86 of Mecosta, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010. She was born March 19, 1924 in Riverdale, MI the only child of Fred and Neva (Mauterstock) Leiter. Lea is survived by 4 children; Susan (Jack) Lovell of New Port Richey, FL, Terry (Gary) Swier of Mecosta, Candy (Scott) Smith of Mattawan, Pat Britten of Big Rapids; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents Lea was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Britten; a son Mike Britten; granddaughter, Nikki Miller; daughter-in-law, Dixie Britten and a son-in-law, Dick Borstler. There will be no public services. Lea's family requests memorial contributions in her name sent to Heartland Hospice, 1041 West Main, Fremont, MI 49412 or the charity of the donor's choice.
