Lawrence LeRoy Sawchuk, 75, of Big Rapids, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026. He was born on September 3, 1950, in Detroit, the son of Mac and Sophie (Okonowski) Sawchuk.

On October 17, 2014, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Terri. Together they traveled, camped, and embraced a fun, adventurous life. Larry worked as an engineer for DTE Energy and thoroughly enjoyed his career. He loved building and fixing things, was mechanically gifted, and enjoyed puttering on projects.

His greatest joy was spending time with his wife and spoiling their grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Terri; children, Tracy (Tim) Battle, Carrie (Joe) Hollingshead, and Danny Parker; and grandchildren, Ruby, Abel, Elijah, Owen, Bella, and Emma.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
