Larry L. Metcalf, age 63 of Rodney, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. He was born November 18, 1952 at his home in Chippewa Lake, the son of Alvah "Jr." and Shirley (Jehnzen) Metcalf. Larry is survived by his children, Heather (Christopher, Carter, Cierra, and Caiden) Coby of Big Rapids, Holly (Bret, Sarah, Jasmine, and Larry Lee II) Metcalf of Rodney, Stephanie (Alexis (Braiden and Sandera)) Clark of Rogers Heights, and Terry Ann (Ramon, Taylor, and Terra) Shaw of Lakeview; siblings, Janice Maxwell of Paris, Dan (Leona) Metcalf of Mulliken, Terri (John) Bloomquist of Big Rapids, and Denise Middleton of Mecosta; many nieces, nephews, and his dog, Duke. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Connie Metcalf; Ramo, Smokey, Shadow, Katie, Jake, Little Bear, and Lionel. A celebration of life will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Chippewa Lake Community Building. Memorial contributions may be made in Larrys name to the Indianapolis Zoo in memory of Lionel (please make checks out to Indianapolis Zoological Society, Inc.).
