Larry L. Hinsley age 81, of Big Rapids died peacefully at his home surrounded by family Friday, April 15, 2022. He was born April 2, 1941 in Grayling, the son of Neil and Thelma (Benninger) Hinsley. Larry enjoyed watching any baseball, football, basketball, or hockey game on T.V. and coaching his sons little league team. He was a member of Charity Baptist Church for over 15 years along with his wife. One of Larrys favorite pastimes was playing cards with friends and family. Larry loved being the center of attention; he treated everyday like it was his birthday. He loved to joke and play pranks on his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry loved bringing them to the park or taking them to Dairy Queen. Wherever Larry was there was always laughter and love. He will be missed by many. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Cheryl; children, Linda (Jeff) Burrows, Richard (Joyce) Hinsley, Andrew (Wanda Walton) Hinsley; daughter-in-law, Jackie Hinsley; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and dog, Panda. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Hinsley; four siblings, Harry, Bill, Lois, Irene; and dog, Benny. Celebration of Life will take place 1:00 p.m. at Charity Baptist Church in Paris Friday, May 6, 2022. Officiating, Pastor Josh Dellinger.
