Lance Morlock, 74, of Hersey, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024. Born on November 28, 1949, in Reed City, he was the beloved son of Richard and Pearl (Shepard) Morlock. Lance shared over 52 years of love and cherished memories with his wife, Susan, whom he adored deeply. Known for his incredible work ethic, Lance spent much of his life working with both Reed City Powerline before retiring from Wolverine Power. Even after retirement, his dedication to hard work never wavered, as he continued to stay busy with various projects. Lance was a gifted woodworker, known for creating beautiful furniture and enjoying the simple act of cutting wood. He loved staying active and driving, always keeping himself engaged in life. Above all, Lance was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and his family meant everything to him. Lance leaves behind his loving wife, Susan Morlock; his children, Kelly (Jason) Gawne and Tracy (Jeremy) Bonnett; and his cherished grandchildren: Sam (Marcus) Badger, Nick (Katie) Bonnett, Nate (Brett) Bonnett, Megan (Wyatt) Fuller, Noah Kailing, Carter Gawne, and Shea Kailing. He is also survived by his seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Cheryl (Lee) Hamner; sister-in-law, Betty Morlock; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Pearl, and his sister, Kim. Cremation has taken place, and private family services will be held at a later date.
