Kim E. (Rose) Barnaby, age 68, died peacefully Friday, April 12, 2024 in Big Rapids. She was born October 19, 1955 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Melvin and Ethel Rose. Kim attended Chippewa Hills High School and received her certificate in cosmetology in Grand Rapids. She worked as a seamstress and then operated a small trucking business for over 20 years. She enjoyed tending her flower garden and bird watching. Kim loved to crochet, knit and listen to country music. She will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her children, Corrina (James) Inman of Mecosta, Daniel (Mo) Lewis of Grant, Emily Lewis of Mecosta; two grandsons; siblings, Kelly Rose, James Watson, Ann Watson; step-siblings, Mary Weinrich, Dot Scoon; Aunt Cookie; several nieces and nephews. Kim was preceded in death by her parents; and step-siblings, Charles, Anna, and Ralph Dodge. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with visitation an hour prior.
