Kerry Lee Burggren, 64 of Sears/Barryton formerly of Vandalia, MI, immediately passed away, at home, Saturday, June 1, 2019, after sustaining injuries from a tractor accident. Kerry was born in Greenville, Michigan on October 17, 1954 the son of Ora and Myree (Stambaugh) Burggren. He was generous with his time and used his talents as a carpenter to help others. Kerry and Ruth made their home in Sears a few months back and Kerry was looking forward to turning the property into a campground.
His ambition was endless and he loved all facets of nature. He had been counting the number of species of birds that visited his new home. He fed the deer, planted a garden and was working on the landscaping. Kerry and Ruth attended the Steadfast Baptist Church in Barryton and prior to moving the Dailey Church in Cassopolis. Kerry was also interested in genealogy and passing down information in his family tree.
Kerry was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force and a former member of the Greenville American Legion.
Kerry was the beloved husband of Ruth (Cook) Burggren, who he married on July 25, 2009 in Greenville; the treasured father of Misty (Matt) Haney and Dustin Burggren both of Greenville; grandfather of Dylan Morgan, Paige Olsen, Payton Haney, Austin, Liam, Elisa, Simeon and Lydia Burggren; brother of Joe (Susie) Burggren of Edmore, Bud Burggren of Six Lakes, Mable (Chuck) Frisbee of Vestaburg and Connie (Roger) Sewell of Sebring, FL; and he was a caring uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Kerry was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jack Burggren and a sister, Vickie Rohn.
