Kenneth "Ken" L. Houghton, age 62, of Alma died Saturday, April 22, 2023 at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland. He was born August 12, 1960 in Mount Pleasant, the son of Kenneth S. and Donna (Leiter) Houghton. Ken attended Chippewa Hills High School. He worked construction throughout his life and was a talented handyman. Ken married the love of his life Kimberlly, May 28, 2016 in Weidman before making their home in Alma. He had a passion for driving his dirt bike, mud truck, and taking road trips all over Michigan. Dogs were Kens favorite animal. He enjoyed spending time with his family and he will be missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of six years, Kimberlly; step-children, Samantha, David, and Bradley Leiter; mother, Donna Houghton; siblings, Katie (Terry) Cotter, Kelly (Craig) Richmond, Kary Houghton; step-granddaughter, Hannah Leiter; mother-in-law, Betty Weide; mother-and-father-in-law, James and Ann Dutcher; sister-in-law, Rachelle Loomis; brother-in-law, Mike Dutcher; many nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his father; nephew, David Cotter; sister-in-law, Lisa Houghton; and brother-in-law, Jon Holland.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held 1:00 p.m. at Deerfield Township Hall on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
