He was born August 26, 1924 in Hersey, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth "Belle" (Bush) Biller. Ken attended Hersey School until he quit the 11th grade to cut in the woods with his grandfather. He then enlisted into the United States Army serving during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Ken was honorably discharge in 1945 after receiving four Bronze Stars. While living in Big Rapids Betty and Ken purchased property in Paris and together the couple built their own home and lived there for over 60 years. Ken was employed by various companies throughout his working life. He was a cutter at Wolverine World Wide, drove truck for Michigan Cigar, he was a talented Brick Mason for Biller Construction and many other independent side projects; including Ferris State University buildings, Crankers, and Big Boy, and he retired as a custodian for Ferris. Ken volunteered in his community in many ways; including helping with commodities and home improvements.
